New 'GTA 5' PC release date hinted again by retailer

The PC release date for “GTA 5” has once again been hinted by a customer representative at Amazon. According to a report from WCCF Tech on Jan. 1, the online retailer once again stated the company still does not have an “exact date” for when the computer version of the newest “Grand Theft Auto” video game will be in stock, adding that fans should contact Rockstar Games directly for more details. However, Amazon expects the shipment to arrive sometime by the second month of 2014. You can find the statement below:

Unfortunately we do not have an exact date for it to be in stock as of yet. You may think of to contact Rockstar for further information. We are expecting it next year by February, but no clear date is guaranteed for now.

Another Amazon employee previously stated that the online retailer is expecting that PC release date of “GTA 5” should be on March 12th in North America and March 14th in Europe.

The publishing company, Rockstar Games, has remained silent on the potential of a port to personal computers. However, the “Grand Theft Auto” series does have a history of ports arriving later to other platforms. “GTA 4,” for example, came out for the PC several months after the console launch.

Rockstar North currently has a full slate of projects revolving around “GTA 5.” In addition to trying to patch the remaining issues with “GTA Online,” the development is also planning to add new contents (such as co-op heists) along with launching major expansions for the open-world action-adventure video game in the next year.

You can take a look at the same title on the PS3 and Xbox 360 with the gallery to the left of this article.
