[IGN]GTA 5 PC Petition Passes 600,000 Signatures

An online petition seeking to convince Rockstar to release Grand Theft Auto V on PC continues to grow, with its latest milestone being the 600,000-signature mark.

This petition, which had 40,000 signatures last year, has grown to 470,000 as of mid-September. With the game having been available on consoles for just over a month, the number of petition supporters now sits at just over 608,000 as of this writing.

A PC version of Grand Theft Auto V has been rumored for some time. Intel recently stated it believes the game will be out on PC before long, and an anonymous source has indicated the PC version's release is scheduled for next spring. Such a timetable would roughly match that of the PC versions of fellow Rockstar games Grand Theft Auto IV and L.A. Noire, which were released about seven and six months after the console versions, respectively. Some fans have worried the game will never be released on PC, a move that would not be without precedence -- Red Dead Redemption, released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010, has still not been released on PC.
